Brown was released on a $125,000 bond and faces 30 years

Florence, South Carolina – Ewart Everton Brown, 55, well-known as the popular 90s dancehall musician, Mad Cobra. Brown was arrested in Florence, South Carolina, and charged with drug trafficking.

Brown was released on Wednesday with a $125,000 bond that included a $5,000 bond for possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and $120,000 for trafficking cocaine (400 grams or more). He is set to return back to court on October 3rd to answer the allegations.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Brown has been recording since 1989, and is known for songs such as: “Big Long John,” “Guns High,” and “Flex.”
